Cryogenic Condensors are heat exchanger where normally liquid nitrogen ( minus 197 deg.C) is used as condensing media. Used for trapping very low concentration of solvents escaping through vent/ exhaust pipes. Solvent gets condensed almost in same composition as it is present in vent gas. Other competing technologies like activated carbon bed needs de-absorbent like steam and separation technique to separate water from solvent. Liquid nitrogen in process gets vaporised to gas form which can be sent to N2 blanketing.

Such systems are used in Europe and North America and viewed mainly as pollution control technique. USP of such systems are.
